Rain, Rain, Go Away!

So... the forecast for this week is rain rain rain. Seriously though. It says it's supposed to rain every day this week. In California/Arizona when rain would only happen every so often, I would love it! I guess just too much of a good thing... It gets annoying just a tad. I absolutely love the rain! But every day can be a drag - although the one good thing about the rain is my lovely black Hunter rainboots! I'm getting a lot of use out of them over here. Actually there's two good things - the boots, and hot chocolate of course!

 

Today was very eventful! I took the bus (all by myself!) to Alkmaar this morning to get my hair done, and then I walked around for a bit! It was actually really exciting doing this all by myself! I felt so grown up. When I got back home, my Dutch dad taught me how to ride his scooter! It's pretty bada** so I have to admit, I was a little scared. I'd never been on one of those things before - let alone drive one by myself! But he was a good teacher, and I ended up taking it for a test drive along the beach! It was wonderful! I got the hang of it pretty quick! Tomorrow I will be going around the neighborhood/village I'm living in and taking pictures so you all can see exactly what it looks like where I live!
